Hi, I’m Caitlin Brown.

I have been passionate about the body in motion from a young age and trained professionally as a dancer. After suffering a knee injury I embraced Pilates and have experienced first-hand how the practice can transform the body and aid in injury prevention and recovery.

In 2013 I was certified as a Pilates Instructor through Boditree Pilates and Healing, after completing 1000 hours. I am also a Fletcher Pilates Licensed Provider. Currently, I teach independently in Vancouver and can be found at Union Pilates in East Vancouver, and Core Community on Main Street. I attended York University and hold a BFA Honours in Dance, and spent high school at Arts Umbrella in the pre-professional dance program. I performed professionally for many years, and remain connected to Vancouver’s dance and performance community. I am grateful to live, work and play on the ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.

My Approach

I believe Pilates can uplift both the body and mind and strive to create a welcoming environment that is fun and dynamic, while safely addressing each individual’s needs. My many years of experience have prepared me to tailor the Pilates experience on a case by case basis, with detailed correction and attention to detail, whether that be injury prevention/rehabilitation, teaching athletes, or simply getting the body moving. My goal is to provide the tools necessary for clients to carry what they learn in class out into their daily lives, while gaining an appreciation for what their bodies can do!
